Has it really been 12 months? They have flown by! My ONE YEAR OLD little peanut is doing great! He has his moments, but what toddler doesn't?
A little update on his tubes... Levi had a post-op check-up yesterday, and Dr. P said his tubes look great! We have to go back in another 6 months for another check-up.
Getting his picture this month was quite a challenge! It's turned in a fun game to see how fast he can lunge forward as soon as I set him down. Little stinker. :) But I did get 2 decent ones, and this was my fave of those. You can tell by how grainy it is that I had my ISO set high.
At 12 months::
Levi weighs 23 lbs 14 oz.
Is 32 inches tall.
Just switched to size 5 dipes.
In size 18 month tops and 12 months on bottom.
Size 4 shoes, and even those have plenty of room. He has small feet for how big he is!
Walking! Getting more sure every day. He gets up from sitting to standing on his own in the middle of the floor too. I have a feeling it won't be long until he's running...you can already tell he wants to go faster! Sometimes he starts going so fast that his feet can't keep up yet and then he usually takes a spill.
Still a picky eater.
Just switched to whole milk from formula. We mixed half and half for a couple weeks. He wasn't such a fan of that, but has been doing good with straight milk.
Drinks his milk from a sippy cup during the day, still having a bottle in the morning and at nighttime.
Sleeps through the night, for the most part. Some nights he wakes up yet, I'm guessing from teething or growing pains or something, but most nights he sleeps all night. Until his normal wake time of 4:00-4:30 a.m. for a bottle. Then he'll lay by me and go back to sleep for an hour or two. That is a habit that we are going to have to work on breaking soon, because Dr. M said he should be able to sleep until 5:30 or 6:00, and both Paul and I are sick of waking up that early! Although I do like cuddling with him, but don't tell Paul that!! :)
Still has quite the little temper. He is a stubborn little thing. He knows what he wants, and is not easily distracted from it most of the time. He still bangs his head on he floor sometimes when he is mad too. I asked Dr. M about this also, and she said it is a stage he will hopefully grow out of soon, and to just ignore it unless he is hurting himself.
Just started giving me kisses! Open mouth, sloppy ones, and only when he feels like it, but he will do it! :)
Still attached to his pacifier.
Loves his blankie! He doesn't drag it around yet, but if it's laying on the floor and he notices it, he'll go over and lay his head on it. So cute! And if I put him in his crib while I pick out his clothes or something, the first thing he does is dives at his blankie and cuddles with it with a big grin on his face.
Pushes his tractor or anything with wheels around and makes a brrr noise. He is most definitely all boy!
Love love LOVES being outside! He's happy just walking around with a stick. Loves going on walks and checking out the neighborhood. Also likes to carry around rocks.
Has 8 teeth now. And he knows how to use them!
Likes the phone, and will put it up to his ear and tilt his head. He does that with various other things too, like the remote.
Goofy kid...he can fit the ball in his mouth, he likes to put it in there and spit it out repeatedly.
Favorite pastime...taking all the wipes out of the container..
LOVES ketchup...can't imagine where he got that.....
I haven't decided if I am going to continue with monthly updates, or if I will do every 3 months when he goes to the dr. We'll see how it goes! :)
