I know I haven't been keeping up with posting my weigh-in's lately. (Or the whole blog in general.) Next week is my final weigh-in for the Biggest Loser contest that I started earlier this year. I know that I'm not going to win, and that wasn't the point of me joining. I thought it would help me with accountability and motivate me more. To a point it did. I have lost about 10 lbs since beginning, so that is a plus. I've been doing my work-outs every night, usually after the kids are in bed. I'm eating better, as in less sugar/sweets, not as many carbs, only have a pop once in awhile. But I'm getting really frustrated right now because I'm not see much change in how my body looks. Paul says he can see a difference, but I don't. At least not where I WANT to see the changes. I just want to feel good about how I look for once in my life. Anyways, I won't whine anymore.
For my weigh-ins, long story short, I was down last week and up again this week. So we'll see what next week brings.

Weekly Weigh-in | 5
Finally got both munchkins down for naps, so I thought I would try and get this typed up quick before one wakes up! I never know how long I will get! :)
This week wasn't too bad. I tried to really watch what I was eating for the most part. Except for a few outing occasions where I still need to learn how to say NO to certain things, ahem....french fries, ahem. They are my weakness. Anyhoo. When I am at home I'm doing ok, though. Finding snacks that satisfy my cravings has been the hardest. I love granola bars, but I'm trying to cut back on them since they are full of sugar, even though they aren't the worst...better than a cookie, right? I haven't been able to completely give up chocolate, but I try to have it in moderation, like a sprinkle of chocolate chips on some peanut butter spread over a rice cake, or things like that. Same with pop, I just don't buy it anymore so I'm not tempted at home, but when I eat out I still like to have it. I don't feel like I am doing too bad, but there is definitely room for improvement.
As for exercise, I think I finally found something that will work for me. I decided to do the Bikini Body Mommy 90 Day Challenge. It actually started on January 1st, so whoever started then is about half-way through, but I am going to start at the beginning and follow the videos on my own. I did the first one last night, and I am feeling it today! It hurts so good!! I tried the Turbofire dvd's a few times, and they are just not for me. I am not coordinated enough, I just feel like I am flailing my arms around looking like a doofus. I am hoping I can sell them for close to what I paid for them on the area swap site. Paul isn't thrilled with me for buying them and then selling them already, but oh well. I feel like I can stick to the videos I started last night better than I would with Turbofire.

Weekly Weigh-In | 4
I guess I should say BI-weekly weigh-in this time. I just never got around to posting last week, lots of other things on my mind all week. Anyway, enough with the excuses. This week was not a good week. I actually lost last week, but gained it all back again. Boo. I am hoping to keep on track better this week and go back down for my weigh-in next week. How many times can I say the word week in one paragraph? Yeesh. I am just going to skip last week and continue from the last weigh-in post.

Today's weight: 157.8
+/- from last week (2 wks ago): -.4
Total loss: -5.4
What I did well this week
- Once again, not much, obviously
What I did not do well this week
- I wasn't strict enough with what I was eating, in other words I cheated a little more than I should have
- No workouts. I did work out the week before, when I discovered once again how truly un-coordinated I am while attempting to try Turbofire. Hopefully I will catch on eventually, but the couple times I did it, I felt like all I was doing was flailing my arms around. Way more punching and kick-boxing than I thought it was. I'm looking forward to a little warmer temps so I can get outside and run again.
Goals for the coming week
- Work-out!
- Drink more water.
- Watch what I am eating more carefully.

Weekly Weigh-In | 3
I have a few minutes before Paige wakes up from her nap so I thought I would get this typed out quick! This week was kind of a bust. I didn't put a whole lot of effort in, so I was surprised I was actually down a little. I guess it helped that I wore the lightest clothing I could to weigh-in... So in other words, this week I need to be a bit more careful if I want to keep the numbers going in the right direction.

Weekly Weigh In | 2
This week didn't go too bad. I still haven't had a chance to get in a work-out. I can give you plenty of excuses, but I'll spare you. Ha. Overall I was happy with my eating habits, except for yesterday when I couldn't resist the other half of the Twix bar that I bribed Levi with. Anyhoo..
I do not like tracking calories. I stink at it. I get breakfast, lunch and snacks in, then I am sick of it. It takes so much time to sit and put in recipes that we make for supper, which aren't complicated but it's time-consuming to try and enter it all. So I need to work on that.

Today's weight: 159.4
+/- from last week: -3.8
Total loss: -3.8
What I did well this week
- Watched what I ate pretty well. Avoided as much sugar as possible and tried not to over-do it with bread and carbs.
- Tried to drink plenty of water.
What I did not do well this week
- Still no working out.
- The Twix incident mentioned above.
Goals for the coming week
- Get a workout in at least once or twice.
- Track calories.
- Drink lots of water.

Weekly Weigh-In
So, I guess you could say I am back at it. Losing this darn baby-weight, that is. Before I got pregnant with Paige, I was making pretty good progress and was getting close to my goal weight. I was doing Weight Watchers and I had started running. Actually starting to enjoy it too, something I never thought I would say. For most of my pregnancy I felt like I was doing good, not gaining too terrible much and feeling pretty confident. Then came the last trimester. And all I wanted was ice cream and chocolate. I ended up gaining about 35 lbs, which isn't bad. But I was sort of hoping that it would be easier to lose this time around. You know, just disappear. Welp, I was wrong. So very wrong.
What I didn't realize was that after a second baby, things would be, um, positioned, differently. I don't know if that is the word I am looking for, but basically my body is just different than it was after I had Levi. Let's just say muffin top is a problem. Moving on... I was also hoping that my second baby would be laid-back and easy-going, and I would be able to actually get something done around the house. HA! I love my kiddos more than anything and wouldn't change them for the world, but some days I feel like I am never going to catch up on anything, much less take time to worry about myself. After spending the day changing, chasing, feeding, playing, and picking up the entire box of legos just for Levi to dump them out again....I am tired and just sitting on the couch for a bit is nice. Knowing that I would get a full night's sleep would also be a plus, but we're not quite there. Hopefully soon.
I also have a hard time keeping motivated until I start to see results. I am realizing more and more that I am an instant satisfaction type of person. If something doesn't work out like I am expecting it to right away, I get frustrated and usually give up. So keeping accountable to only myself was not going to work. When I saw that our town was having a Biggest Loser Contest, I decided to join in. It cost $25 to participate, and if you win you get a cash prize. I am not terribly worried if I win or not, I just want to have something to keep my motivated and accountable. The first weigh in was on Tuesday. I am hoping from here on out I can get an update up on Tuesday or Wednesday, but we'll see how it goes. I think I'm going to sort of follow the same format I did when I started updates before I was pregnant. So, here goes I guess.

Starting weight: 163.2
What I did well this week
- I am trying really hard not to snack or graze too much. That is a big downfall for me.
- Didn't buy anything sweet when I got groceries and didn't bake anything this week. If it's not in the house, I can't eat it! Sweets are my other downfall.
What I did not do well this week
- I haven't started working out yet. I decided to try TurboFire, and it just came in the mail yesterday, so hoping to get started on that soon. I will keep you posted on how that goes.
- Not tracking my calories. Some days I try, and I get past lunch and that's the end of that. For some reason Weight Watchers points were easier to track than calories for me. I am mainly trying to just eat cleaner at this point.
Goals for the coming week
- Start working out.
- Continue to watch what I am eating.
