I am finally getting around to starting my Project Life album. I've been taking pictures and making notes since the beginning of the year so when I had time and the right supplies I could start. I got my pictures printed and put together the cover page last week. I have week 1 and most of week 2 finished at this point too, but have not taken pictures of those. It's tough getting decent pictures in those page protectors. Here is how my cover page turned out! I'm really happy with it!
I'm glad I decided to have the pictures printed in black and white, it gave me more options for deciding colors. It already takes me way too long to pick out what patterned papers to use anyway!
I am loving the new wood veneer chips I got from Freckled Fawn! Everything on their site is super adorable and I want one of everything! So. Cute. The 'S' flair badge is from Ormolu, another shop that is full of cuteness.
There are so many fun, new products that are popping up lately, and a lot of things in my own stash that I don't use much. I might have to go through and purge some more one day! My favorite things to hoard are letter stickers, label stickers, and patterned paper. I seem to have acquired plenty of rolls of washi tape too lately! :)

hi, my name is...
Just wanted to share a scrapbook page I did a few weeks ago! This one sat on my desk for quite awhile because I couldn't decide which letter stickers to use. I ended up spray misting the letters for 'hi', and I'm happy with how it turned out!

What? A scrapbook page?
Why yes! I have actually gotten a few pages done in the past several weeks. That is now where near catching up, but it's a step in the right direction. I'm only a year behind. Meh. I'm just scrapping the pics that I want to and not going to try and do every little thing. I am really thinking about starting Project Life next year. It's like a simpler, more streamlined way to scrapbook your daily life, and you can make it as easy or detailed as you want. A lot of bloggers/scrappers that I follow are doing it, and it looks like so much fun! So we'll see what happens. I'm mostly just afraid that I'll get behind during busy times and since I like to order my pictures online instead of print them myself. But, I have awhile to think about it.
Anyhoo! I just felt like sharing this page because I really liked how it turned out! Simple, but I love the colors, and it made me happy because it came together really quick. Seems like those are always the pages that turn out the best for me...when I just sit down and go with the flow.
I don't really know the best way to photograph scrapbook pages, so hopefully this is alright.
Looking at those pictures, two things came to my mind. 1) I was extremely puffy. 2) My peanut was so wittle!! And I miss when he liked to cuddle with me instead of try and wiggle off of my lap. Moving on! :)
Hopefully have another 2-week edition of High Five for Friday up later this week. Or has it been 3 weeks? Well, at any rate, it has just been plain busy around here lately. Sad thing is, I couldn't tell you half of what we are doing to be that busy! Time just flies.

holiday mini book DONE
About time! I have actually had it done for a week or so, but I finally got around to snapping a few pics and getting them uploaded. Once I got started on this it went pretty quick. I didn't think too much like I normally tend to do, just went with my first thoughts, and I am happy with the results! Besides the fact that some of the events are out of order, which really isn't a huge deal to me. I ordered the book pre-made from the Elise Joy etsy shop. I love all of her mini books. They are the perfect size. Anyhoo, here are some of my pages!
I'm really enjoy doing these mini books, but I think I might wait awhile to do another one so I can get caught up on some actual pages for my scrapbook. Way, WAY behind with that. As in I get overwhelmed just thinking about ordering the pictures. But I will just have to do what I can when I can and I will get caught up eventually! Even if it isn't before I'm 30! Ha! Oh jeez, I hope I am somewhat caught up by then...

holiday mini-album
I never really mentioned it this year, but I did take pictures for a holiday album. It wasn't necessarily everyday, so technically not a December Daily like last year. Well, now that it is the middle of January, I finally got the pictures ordered. It took me longer than it should have to organize/edit them, and decide which ones to use. When it comes to ordering pics for scrapbooking, I tend to want to visualize what type of page I want to make, and order the photo size from there, so I like to go through each picture and crop it how I want, etc. It takes awhile, but that is how it works for me. I guess it would help if I kept on top of ordering pictures instead of ordering 500 at a time like I just did earlier this month! That is the other thing, I like to order 4x6's for my photo albums along with the pics I want to scrapbook. I probably make things way more complicated than it should be, but I don't want to scrapbook every single picture, I just do pages with the pictures I love, or that have a special meaning, and so on.
Back to the holiday album, when I got all the pics ready to upload to the site where I get all the pics I want to scrapbook...(scrapbookpictures.com, because they have so many different sizes!)...I open the page and NOOOOO!!! They are closed! Due to the economy and more competition, blah blah blah, they had to close. UGH! So I just finished ordering them from mpix, which does have great picture quality, just not near as many size options. :( I will survive I suppose.
SO, now I just have to wait to get those and then I can hopefully get it all put together quickly, before I forget why I took each picture. I will post some pics of it when I finally finish. Hopefully before June.
Sorry that was kind of a random post. My specialty is run-on sentences and jumping from one thing to another. Some days I wonder how my brain works.
Levi's 9 month update will be after his check-up on Tuesday, so I have all the stats!

mini album
Now that it's December, I have some pics to post of my summer mini album! Ha. I had the base of this album made from way back in like June or July, but I never did anything with it. I had a paper bag I collected things in throughout the summer, and I took pictures with it in mind, but never got around to doing anything with it. I am not very good at keeping up with these things as they happen, I am more likely to collect things, take pictures, etc., then put it all together at the end of whatever time-frame. When I have something on my desk I want to get it done and cleared off for the next project instead of sitting there in progress for a few months. Anyway, once I finally got around to finishing this thing, I just printed off my pictures using my own printer (bad idea since they look like crap), and put it together pretty quick. I probably didn't put as much thought/effort into it as I could have. I do like how it turned out though!

projects
Finally got around to taking some pics of my December Daily Album and the necklace I made awhile ago! Not the greatest lighting = not the greatest pics, but I just felt the need to get it done so I can stop thinking about it!!
December Daily: A lot of my inspiration came from this post from Elle at Elle's Studio. Looking back I wish I would have paid more attention and included the backside of the pages to make it look more finished. But that is why I wanted to do it this year...so I would know what to do different next year! It is actually my first mini album, but I am hoping to do more in the future!
Pom-Pom Necklace: I had a lot of fun making this!! It was nice to bust out the glue gun and get crafty! :)

new project!
Well, inspired by Ali Edwards and this post from Elle @ Elle's Studio, I decided to do a December Daily mini-album this year. I ordered a bunch of Christmas stuff from Two Peas in a Bucket and Elle's Studio, and I think I have everything else I'll need. Right now I am pumped about it, so hopefully that feeling continues and I don't push it aside like I tend to do with things sometimes. The main reason I decided to go for it was because I thought it would be fun to see how the month of December and the Christmas season is for us now, and do this again next year to see how much it all changes! The thing I'm worried about for this year is that I won't have a lot to put in it on certain days since, you know, we're not super exciting. Ha! I'm sure I will come up with something. That's what's so neat about this, you can do whatever you like. I am excited to see how it goes, and I will make sure to share the progress!

senior pics
Here is the first scrapbook page I finally got around to photographing! My sister graduated in '06, and I just scrapped her senior pics a couple months ago when I was working on getting caught up. Happy to say that I'm up-to-date, besides our wedding pictures which might be a little while yet.
I had a lot of fun with this page! I just went for it instead of thinking about what I was going to do for an hour first, and I really love the results. I used paint and a roller stamp behind the title, and I used glitter mist on the title letters. The stickers are from Hambly Studios.
