Getting a little late but here's my five:
1. Levi's first time in the pool!
He wasn't too sure about it. Definitely wasn't a fan of the floaty...he was very unsure the whole time he was in there. After I took a few pics of him and Paul, I got in and held him, then he was okay. It probably didn't help that the water was a bit chilly. At least he didn't scream the whole time!
2. We got a new TV. Our old one was junk, the channels were fuzzy and we know it wasn't the cable because the TV Paul has in the basement was perfectly clear. So we found one at Best Buy and brought it home. It's like twice the size of the old one! :)
3. My first Swap and Shop purchase on FB...lol. I joined a couple local 'swap and shop' groups on facebook where people are having 'virtual garage sales' and so on. I like to look, but I'd rather actually GO to sales this summer. Seems like a lot of extra work having to take pictures of everything, post it online, then deliver/meet someone just to sell some clothes and such. I bought a few onesies, and only because the gal lived in the same town that Paul works in and could easily drop them off.
4. My sister baby-sat Levi on Monday this week b/c there was no daycare. He had a fun day with Auntie Katie!
5.Chocolate Sheet Cake. Mmmmm.
I made this from the Pioneer Woman's cookbook this week. Turned out delicious! I sent some to work with Paul b/c it makes more than we could eat ourselves.

10 months
Seems like I was just typing out Levi's 9 month post, and here we are already at 10 months. Yikes. Getting closer to one year! Crazy!! This month we had some more trouble with ear infections...he is currently on antibiotics again since his last one didn't go away. So the last 2 he has gotten have needed 2 rounds of meds. We are going to see his primary care doctor once he is done with this round, so she can just check his ears again and talk about it, then decide if we need to see a specialist. Not that I want him to get tubes, but I want him to feel better for more than 2 or 3 weeks at a time, and not have to be on those dumb antibiotics all the time. Paul is coming along to that appointment (thankfully!) and he is more apt to say what is on his mind, while I would just agree to whatever. Anyhoo, I will update once we know what is going on with that.
When he is feeling good, Levi is such a goof! We just love him to pieces! He's definitely still a momma's boy, but I have a feeling once this summer comes he'll want to be outside with daddy all the time so I figure I might as well enjoy it while it lasts. :)
At 10 months::
Weighs 21 lbs 5.5 oz (weight when I brought him to the dr. the day after his 10 month b-day)...lost an ounce since last month.
30.5 inches tall.
Size 4 dipes.
Size 12 month clothes.
Still only 4 teeth! The top middle ones are close, I can feel it's really hard there, but nothing through yet. I call him my little vampire...hehe! :)
Not walking yet, but he can balance on his own for a few seconds. He has actually stopped doing this since he's had his last ear infection, so hopefully once he feels better his balance will come back.
Is a picky eater! Must get that from daddy because it definitely isn't from me!! I think this might have something to do with the ear infections too, since that is all connected. Funny how much those things can affect... He does eat better at home now, at least the past couple weeks he has, than he does at daycare. There were a few days that he didn't eat anything besides his bottle all day. Just being a little stinker. He would come home and eat for me at supper, although only certain things that he likes, but he would at least eat. Hopefully now that his medicine should be kicking in he'll start to eat better.
On the list of foods he likes: peaches, mandarin oranges, mango, pineapple, pears, crackers, cottage cheese, cheddar cheese, cheerios, puffs, mum-mums, noodles with spaghetti sauce, bread, plus a few I probable missed. Notice there are no vegetables on that list...I try and he just will not eat them. I guess he did have a few carrots for lunch the other day, like 3 or 4 pieces...whoop-de-doo. Hopefully as he gets older his taste will change too.
Sleeping his hit and miss depending on how he's feeling, if he's got an ear infection or not. When he feels good, he actually sleeps pretty good and takes decent naps. But if he's sick, then not so much.
Makes lots of noises, still no mama or dada! :) The latest is la-la-la, with his tongue coming out. It's pretty funny.
Starting to copy things more. He'll shake his head if we do, or if we say la-la-la then he will do it too.
Knows what NO means. That doesn't mean he listens to it though...ha. He thinks it's funny when we say no. Sometimes he'll shake his head if I tell him no.
Is NOT afraid of the stairs. Going down them I mean. One of us forgot to shut the gate going down to the basement the other day, and in the 2 minutes when Paul went upstairs and I thought he was in the living room while I was doing something on the computer quick, Levi somehow managed to get down the first 2 steps to the landing in front of the door which then goes to the basement. I found him before he went down the basement steps, but I am positive he would have done it. He crawls towards the stairs when we are upstairs too, we only have a gate at the bottom of those stairs. So we have to really watch him now. Stinker.
Still attached to the binker. Especially when he doesn't feel good or is tired.
Starting to get more interested in books. Not so much at bedtime because he wants his bottle NOW, but I brought a pile downstairs and he likes looking at them. His favorite is a lift-flap one. He likes to lift the flaps himself.
Tries to crawl out of the bathtub...when he's done, he wants out. Now. Does NOT like getting his hair rinsed. I've started only washing it every other time unless he gets food in it or something. When he is in the tub though, he does like the water and splashing and playing with his toys.

sleepy boy
Not getting much sleep is catching up with Levi...he was having a hard time staying awake eating his lunch. He actually slept pretty good last night, but he had only had a 25 minute nap this morning so he was ready for another one!
Of course when I took him out of his high chair, cleaned him off, and went up to rock him, then he was wide awake and wouldn't sleep! Stinker. He finally gave in and has been sleeping for about 30 minutes now. :)

High Five for Friday
Thought I'd join in on the fun this week! :)
1. This picture:
Levi was being such a goof when I took this! He did it once and I laughed, so he just kept doing it! I love it because it shows his teeth on the top, and how they came in different than most kids, with the outside ones before the middle two. My little vampire! :)
2. Crock pot Rootbeer Pulled Pork
I made this for supper tonight and it was yummy! Paul liked it too, score! It's not exactly a throw-it-in-the-slow-cooker-and-leave type of recipe, so it worked good to do it on a day I was home. It wasn't hard, but you just have to sear the roast first, then after you shred it it cooks for another hour.
3. The Lucky One
I saw this on Paige Evans' blog and got a tiny bit excited. I read this book almost a year ago and LOVED it. I could not put it down. I hadn't heard they were doing it as a movie until now, but I CANNOT wait!! For once I actually read the book before seeing the movie! :) This actually makes me want to go re-read it. Like, now.
4. After nearly a year, I am in the process of completing an actual page for my scrapbook! Hallelujah! Note that I did say in the process...currently been sitting on my desk for, umm, 4 days I believe. Gets me excited to get back into it though. Also makes me overwhelmed thinking about how much I have to catch up on....
5. My Valentine from Levi
Paul teamed up with my mom when she was up baby-sitting Levi last week and made this for me from Levi. I was surprised and I absolutely loved it! Funny thing was I did something similar for Paul from Levi, involving the hand prints too. Great minds think alike I guess.
Well there you have it! Linking up with Lauren @ From My Grey Desk

holiday mini book DONE
About time! I have actually had it done for a week or so, but I finally got around to snapping a few pics and getting them uploaded. Once I got started on this it went pretty quick. I didn't think too much like I normally tend to do, just went with my first thoughts, and I am happy with the results! Besides the fact that some of the events are out of order, which really isn't a huge deal to me. I ordered the book pre-made from the Elise Joy etsy shop. I love all of her mini books. They are the perfect size. Anyhoo, here are some of my pages!
I'm really enjoy doing these mini books, but I think I might wait awhile to do another one so I can get caught up on some actual pages for my scrapbook. Way, WAY behind with that. As in I get overwhelmed just thinking about ordering the pictures. But I will just have to do what I can when I can and I will get caught up eventually! Even if it isn't before I'm 30! Ha! Oh jeez, I hope I am somewhat caught up by then...

ear infections SUCK!
Yes, that's right, Levi has another ear infection. Five so far. It seems worse this time, but maybe it's because he screams so much louder now, just in general! High-pitched, shrill screams are his favorite noise to make right now! It's cute when they're happy screams, but at night when he's crying along with it, not so fun. He's got a different medication, called Cefprozil, so hopefully it will help. The dr. also prescribed some ear drops, which would probably work good, but I can't get them in his ears without him rubbing them or turning his head, so I'm sure it all runs out. We've been giving him infant ibuprofen at night and that seems to help for the first part of the night.
During the day he is usually pretty good, for the most part. Besides being tired from not sleeping at night... Here are a few pictures!

I took these in the afternoon when we got back from the dr. a few days ago. He does good if I play with him and keep my attention on him, but if I try to get something done quick or leave the room he is not happy. Part of it might be a stage he is going through, too, but the ear infections don't help. I am just so ready for this winter to be done, and hopefully he won't get these stupid things any more. Maybe he will finally start to sleep better then!
Chicken Supreme
I have made this dish a few times, and we really love it. It's another recipe from one of the local church cookbooks. Love those church cookbooks!! There are actually several variations of this recipe in that particular book, and this is the one I have used. Most of the time I end up putting the chicken in frozen, and it's always done after the 50-60 minutes. I do use somewhat thin breasts though, so if yours are very thick it might take a bit longer. You can use any type of cheese, really. I really like this with swiss cheese, and I recently made it with some havarti that I had leftover from something else that was delish too! But you can use cheddar, mozzarella or American too! If using American slices, put 2 slices on each breast. The stuffing mix I use is Stovetop, and I use the whole box instead of just half and I like how it turns out that way. One last thing I do differently, I use milk to dilute the soup and I just add until I like the consistency. It usually ends up to be more than half a cup. Please excuse the horrible picture, it was kind of an after thought!
Chicken Supreme
4 to 6 chicken breasts
1 can cream of chicken soup
8 oz. shredded cheese
1/2 box stuffing mix
1/4 c. butter, melted (optional)
In a greased 9x13-inch pan, place chicken breasts. Dilute cream of chicken soup with 1/2 cup water. Pour over chicken breasts. Next, sprinkle cheese and the stuffing mix. Last, take the melted butter if using and drizzle over the top. No need to cover. Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes.
